During pregnancy, the amount of change and growth occurring in your body is hard to comprehend. Most pregnant people will experience some level of physical, mental or emotional discomfort at some stage during their pregnancy and certainly during labour and birth.

Whether you are feeling some niggling discomforts that you wish to ‘nip in the bud’, some uncertainty about pre-existing conditions and how to manage them comfortably during your pregnancy or wanting to be more confident and prepared for birthing and postpartum, a private class allows the time and space to address all your needs - physical, mental and emotional.

  • Any pregnant person who wishes to:

    • commence group prenatal yoga classes (to ensure your needs are catered for and tailored to within the group setting)

    • minimise niggling pregnancy discomforts

    • gain support for pelvic pain or disfunction during pregnancy

    • manage pre-existing or pregnancy related conditions

    • balance the body to encourage optimal positioning of baby for birth (particularly if currently in a breech, transverse or posterior position)

    • support your mental health during pregnancy and beyond

    • further discuss and tailor yoga to meet your specific birthing choices and needs

    • have a personalised home yoga program prepared

    • prepare for postpartum and learn how to safely and effectively begin postpartum exercises following birth

    Classes are suitable for all trimesters of pregnancy.

Postnatal Yoga and Corrective Exercise for Parents and Bubs, Mums and Bubs, Postpartum

Birth and the early postpartum period take us all by surprise in some way or other. Whether your birth was very different to what you expected or hoped for, or your body does not feel that it was ready for all the feeding, carrying and sleeplessness you are experiencing, tailored movement can assist.

At The Centre of Bright Beginnings, we understand how time-poor the postpartum period can feel. Sometimes even the thought of exercise can seem to much. We are here to demistify and simplify postpartum exercise for you, to assist you in finding the most effective and efficient exercises to have you keeping up with your kids. 

A private class, although an hour or so of your precious time, can offer you hours of more comfort and confidence as you journey further into the world of parenting.

  • Any postpartum person who wishes to:

    • gain support for recovery from prolapse, tearing or other birth complications

    • gain support for diastasis recti

    • learn how to safely and effectively begin postpartum exercises following birth

    Classes are suitable for any stage pospartum (from a few weeks to a few years) and can be attended with or without children in tow.

About your Movement Educator

Claire is an experienced Perinatal and Pelvic Health Yoga Teacher and a Pre and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. She has also attended a Spinning Babies® Workshop and understands the techniques to support optimal positioning for birth.

She has personally experienced many of the possible physical challenges of the pregnancy and postpartum periods, including:

  • chronic pelvic pain

  • hip disfunction

  • foetal malposition

  • perinatal anxiety.

Due to a breech presentation, she had an emergency caesarean section with her first pregnancy, followed by a VBAC and home waterbirth with her second child. She believes that her broad personal experiences allow her to better support pregnant and postpartum people irrespective of personal and medical history.
