Prenatal Corrective Exercise for Pelvic Health, Pregnancy Perinatal Birth Preparation and Birthing

During pregnancy, the amount of change and growth occurring in your body is hard to comprehend. Most pregnant people will experience some level of physical, mental or emotional discomfort at some stage during their pregnancy and certainly during labour and birth.

Whether you are feeling some niggling discomforts that you wish to ‘nip in the bud’, some uncertainty about pre-existing conditions and how to manage them comfortably during your pregnancy or wanting to be more confident and prepared for birthing and postpartum, a private class allows the time and space to address all your needs - physical, mental and emotional.

Prenatal Corrective Exercise

Claire is an experienced perinatal and pelvic health yoga teacher and a Pre and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. She has also attended a Spinning Babies® Workshop and understands the techniques to support optimal positioning for birth.

Claire has personally experienced many of the possible physical challenges of pregnancy, including chronic pelvic pain, breech presentation and emergency caesarean section during her first pregnancy, followed by a successful VBAC and home waterbirth with her second child. Who are these classes for?

Any pregnant person who wishes to:

  • commence group prenatal yoga classes (to ensure your needs are catered for and tailored to within the group setting)

  • minimise niggling pregnancy discomforts

  • gain support for pelvic pain or disfunction during pregnancy

  • manage pre-existing or pregnancy related conditions

  • balance the body to encourage optimal positioning of baby for birth (particularly if currently in a breech, transverse or posterior position)

  • support your mental health during pregnancy and beyond

  • further discuss and tailor yoga to meet your specific birthing choices and needs

  • have a personalised home yoga program prepared

  • prepare for postpartum and learn how to safely and effectively begin postpartum exercises following birth

Classes are suitable for second and third trimesters of pregnancy (you can contact us to discuss your first trimester needs).
